"I love you, not for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you."
Love can be a commitment to itself. Or it can be a declaration of war. But don’t fool yourself if you think the war is against the other person. A war is always a compromise between your darkest side and your brightest half side.
And if war is all about yourself, love is not about you, it’s about the other:
You can want the other one to be with you, and you are not loving at all.
And you can need the other one to be with you but want him/she to be with whom that person wants to be. Do you see the difference?
Love demands sacrifice for those we cherish above all else. Even so... It’s not really a sacrifice ‘cause... When you love, the desire to see the loved one smiling... actually it becomes unstoppable.
